CBD baking mix

2020, due to the pandemic, has been a year where most of us have had to stay inside or limit our time outside as much as possible. For many individuals and families, baking became an ideal way to pass the time. Whether it was learning how to make fresh baked bread or keeping a jar of cookies stocked throughout the week, baking turned into an almost therapeutic way for many to manage the tension and the unknown of the pandemic, the election, and other stressful world events.

Besides the rise in baking, there has also been a rise in CBD! People are wondering how they can incorporate this ingredient into their daily lives, and some are hoping for more culinary methods than just topicals and tinctures.

Using CBD as a kitchen ingredient can be a great introduction for those that have never tried it before. For others who are well-versed in the world of CBD, it’s just another way to relax and enjoy the wondrous and all-natural qualities of this amazing plant.

Baking with CBD

With CBD tinctures, it is simple to add a couple drops on top of your baked goods or to incorporate it into your batter or dough. Oil is also easily incorporated into hot and cold drinks to add something special and relaxing. The downside to oils can be inconsistency with measuring and how well it can tolerate the heat of the oven and the other ingredients its mixing with.

Wouldn’t it be great if CBD could be in the form of a powder? Well we’ve got you covered.

Our Hemp Bake Mix is, truly, the perfect addition to your baking and CBD experiments. The powder is odorless, flavorless, and mixes perfectly with a variety of baked goods from cookies, muffins, breads, pies, donuts, and more. With a powerful powdered form, you can easily measure and divide your quantities.

Within each box of our Hemp Bake Mix, they come pre-packaged in appropriate doses, meaning all you have to do is open and add straight into your mixture. If you want to manage and count your CBD amounts further, we recommend separating your mixture into evenly sized portions, such as when you make cookies, brownies, muffins, etc. By doing this, you can calculate how much each baked good has, helping you track how much CBD you’ve taken!

If you have a particular oil you prefer, all you have to do is compensate some of the oil in the recipe with the amount of oil you’re adding. If a recipe calls for 2 teaspoons of oil, and you want to include a full teaspoon of your own CBD tincture, just substitute one of the teaspoons for CBD and you’re good to go!

We can’t say it’s a perfect method, and it’ll probably take some time to figure out the right balance of ingredients to CBD to get it just the way you like. (Another reason why we can’t recommend our Hemp Bake Mix enough! There is no need to change the recipe—all you have to do is add it in, stir, and you’re done!)

Baking, especially during the holidays, is one of the best parts of the year. Whether it’s a family tradition or a favorite hobby, home baking is in a world of its own. There’s nothing more relaxing than putting some music on, preparing a batch of cookies, and then watching them bake to golden perfection in the oven (and, obviously, eating them). It makes sense to have the desire to incorporate CBD into baking. What could go wrong with taking an all-natural ingredient and mixing it into a peaceful batch of banana bread?

For us, it makes us even more excited to preheat the oven and measure out the sugar.

(We don’t recommend adding CBD to a recipe that will be shared with children and those under 18. Make sure the CBD is saved as an adult-exclusive treat only. Please be responsible and considerate, and make sure friends and family are aware of whether they’re enjoying regular treats or those that have the addition of CBD.)

Happy baking & happy holidays!
